OTHER RECENT COACHING DEBUTS: K.C. Keeler will be making his debut as head coach at the University of Delaware this week vs. Georgia Southern, becoming just the fourth coach since 1940 to head the sidelines for the Blue Hens. Keeler has history on his side as he has never lost a season opener as a head coach, going 9-0 overall at Rowan. Below are some of the recent debuts for Delaware head coaches.

Bill Murray - lost at Hampden Sydney, 7-0 Oct. 5, 1940. A second quarter scoring pass from Walt Sprye to Syd Weed clinched the win for H-S. David Nelson - defeated Lehigh 7-0 under the lights of Wilmington (DE) Ball Park Sept. 22, 1951. TheHens won despite completing just one pass and being outgained 254-167 in total yards. A first quarter touchdown run by Joe Scarcia was all the Hens needed to post the victory.

Tubby Raymond - defeated Hofstra 35-13 Sept. 24, 1966 before 10,140 fans at Delaware Stadium. Delaware rushed for 255 total yards and held the Dutchmen to just 65 total yards and eight first downs. Quarterback Frank Linzenbold threw for 118 yards and rushed for 136 yards while Stu Green rushed for 79 yards and three touchdowns to lead the way.
