A comment from one of Flossie's grandchildren. "Grandma Sprye's monther died when she was little and Flossie was raised by a stepmother. From things my mother told me Flossie had to work cleaning and doing dishes and farm chores. My Mom said Flossie promised that her children would never have to work when they were children. So with 5 children she did all the work and made their clothies. She sewed and cooked and never made her children work.
I know only wonderful things about Grandma Sprye."
