Descendants of Thomas and Eliza Ellen Spry held their annual reunion Oct. 3 at First United Methodist Church, China Grove. The Sprys’ children were Walter, Clyde Nelson, Lois, Ellen, Arron Hill, Annice and Elzavan.

President Dot Spry Hauss presided. Rhyne Bost had the invocation. Entertainment included duets by Elizabeth and Samantha Cable, solo by Elizabeth Biles and group singing by Dot and Bill Hauss, Rhyne Bost and Carol Hauss Cable.

Attending from Salisbury were Samantha and Elizabeth Ann Cable, Carol Hauss Cable and Gene Cable. Rhyne Bost, Paul Grubb and Chris Ward. Attending from Kannapolis were Ray and Ann Spry, Elizabeth, Robert and Matthew Biles, Betty Spry, Melvin and Brenda Spry, Donnie, Kathy and Brianna Earnhardt, Jessica Parker and Chris, Larry Spry, Kim Spry Laws, Kenny and McKenzie Laws, Jane Spry Cecil and Ruth Owings.

Attending from China Grove were the Rev. Vance Lowe and Cheryl, the Rev. Brad Cunningham, Phyllis and Wayne Spry, David and Paula Spry, Brad Cunningham, Ione Hauss, Bill and Dot Hauss, Lee Ann Hauss Bost, Kathy Spry and Richard Goebel.

Gary Spry, Linda, Patrick and Lauren Spry of Fort Benning, GA; Joyce Lee Stone and grandchildren Mason and Melia Stone of Longs, S.C.; Jackie Ray and Jan Spry of Deltona, FL; and Bobby and Joan Spry of Lynchburg, VA.

The next reunion will be the first Sunday in October 2005.
