India Knight Dunnington Sprye |
Walter Clement Sprye |
Family is very important to me. Growing up, I did not realize this for various reasons. Now, my family is very important and wish I had more contact with all family members. Here is the center of family with the connections. The more I learn about my family the more I understand about my life. One thing I have learned that the blood family members may not be your family. It is those who stand by and support who are family. I am so grateful for many people being part of my life. Soon, I hope to add a page just for those who are my family that are not blood relatives.
India Knight Dunnington lived in Farmville, VA where she was born. She met and married Walter Clement Sprye. He graduated from Hampden-Sydney which is just outside of Farmville, VA. Walter and India had two children, Skip and Kathy. This site is dedicated to those related, past and present.
India and Walter loved their social life with their friends. They were part of a group called THE ASSEMBLY and had dances each year. Some of their friends in NC that I remember were Carlton and Hugh Daley, Tommy and Timmy Battle, Shields and Charlie Harris, Bunny and Pell Lea, Skipper Fenner, Martha and Wayne Whitley, Harry and Jo Fish, Sister Cherry, and many more. In Farmville, VA there were many other than Robert and Betty Taylor, Kyle and Claire Baldwin, and family. Of course, there were many friends from the tobacco business. Friends were a valuable part of their lives.
